Joy lives in Bedford, N.S. She began painting in her early teens, starting with a group in the local church basement.
Reflections and light are favorite subjects, in both oil and acrylic mediums.
Joy has been a member of the Bedford Basin Artists Society since 2002, and enjoys painting and showing with them. She attends many workshops each year to keep learning and growing as an artist. Plein air painting has become a new challenge in the past few years and she participates each year at many paint-on-site fund raisers. You will find her painting somewhere in Peggy's Cove during Paint Peggy's Cove July 2 and 3 2011.
