An important fund raiser is happening in the Bay this Saturday:
The Bay Grandmothers are holding their annual African Luncheon on Saturday November 12th, 11.00 – 2.00 p.m. at St Luke's Church in Upper Tantallon. Tickets are $15.00 for lunch. There will be a variety of items for sale including crafts, baked goods, Grandmother’s cookbook and Kazuri jewellery, which is made by Grandmothers in Africa.
If you wish to stay for lunch tickets are $15.00 and can be reserved by calling Jean Harris at 876-2393 or e-mail Jean Harris Tickets will also be a for sale at the door.
This is a great opportunity to do a bit of Christmas shopping and contribute to a very good cause - the Stephen Lewis Foundation's work with African Grandmothers raising their grandchildren..
