Andrea's studio gallery is literally "off the beaten path", off-grid and some 185 ft. above sea level where the sky is as wide open as her eclectic body of work.
Currently working on several collage series, her most recent theme, "Where The Light Gets In", is a spiritual journey into the Nova Scotia woodlands.
"I like paint on my hands and clothes and am often driven by the urge to leave messages in my work hoping it raises questions in others".
Andrea's work can also be found at Jo Beale Gallery, Peggy's Cove, Art Sales and Rental Society, Hollis St., Halifax and Seaside Gallery, Shaw's Landing, West Dover.
The painting above is one of 12 that Andrea will exhibit at the Jo Beale Gallery in Peggy's Cove during the festival. I chose to highlight it in this post because it shows the village of Peggy's Cove from an interesting perspective. The yellow house with the white steps halfway up the hill in the Jo Beale Gallery.
Andrea is a member of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and Visual Arts Nova Scotia
You can view more of her work on her website and blog.
